The OFNA hyper 8 1/8th buggy is considered the most reliable, durable, and cost effective nitro to sink you're cash into. Coupled with VG with a JP-2 motor makes it absolutely rock. Parts replacement are low cost and always easy to find at LHS or online as well as ebay.

Im guessing you want 8th scale because there are only like 1 or 2 10th scale nitro buggies so here goes... All name brand buggies are capable enough and have good customer service. Some to check out are the Kyosho 777, Mugen MBX-5R, OFNA buggies, Associated RC8, and Losi 8ight. If you are just getting into it then you should get an RTR. OFNA has some pretty good ones and I have also heard great things about the Duratrax RAZE. Otherwise some good mid price buggies are the RC8 and 8ight. Losi and Associated always design winning vehicles and these are no exception. Unlike 1/10th ST's you have alot of choices and it is mostly about prefrence because there is not much difference from one buggy to another.

I'm not mush for buggy's, but for RTR RC, the only choice is the HPI Savage X. Buggy's are great and all, just not as tough for the bashing we do. I started out 3 years ago with a Savage SS. Literally beat it up every time I used it by extreme jumping and add on mods. After 3 years, it is still running strong! Now with 2 of them, one stock and one modified, it is still the toughest and baddest with minimal repairs. Go Savage and you will never be dissatisfied!
