A babysitter is coming this summer, and where I live we have a lot of heat waves. Usually, we buy a Nancy Drew game that keeps us occupied, or we play hide and go seek or something.... but can you think of something more fun to do? Arts and crafts? Anything?

How about making jewelry? Michael's craft store has lots of bead kits and tools, as well as books to help you get started. Plus you end up with something cool that you can wear and give your friends instead of just something you did to pass the time.

Colouring books, you could make a treasure hunt also, hide things around the house and give each kid a list of things to find, and/or a map. Art and crafts are a good idea, you could make suncatchers or something.
