any type of ethafoam sheets will do once they are less than 6mm in thickness. size of sheets are not a problem because i will be cutting them to individual needs. ideally i would like to find sticky back sheets for convenience. hoping someone out there can help me.

You can buy the foam you need at Michaels Crafts, most hobby shops, and at Home Depot.

ETHAFOAM* Brand Polyethylene Foam has been the leader in resilient foam packaging for over 40 years. It is available in multiple densities, colors, sizes in planks, sheets, and rounds to meet various needs in cushion packaging, material handling, electronic protection, defense, sports and leisure and other applications

You can get very similar foam in hobby stores. It is called "Foamies" I think. Use spray adhesive to attach it.

You might also check out shelf liner. Some kinds of plastic shelf liner would make good tackle box liners.
