CropMom.com will allow you to upload your photos and design a beautiful digital scrapbook page using CropMom's thousands of designer graphics.

Just register, log in, then upload your photos from the My Photos page. Click "get started," and you can begin making your layout in the canvas size of your choice. You can add text to your layout, as well.

It's free to use CropMom. You can download the low-resolution JPEG file of your layout for sharing on your blog or Website or you can email it to a friend. You can purchase the high-resolution JPEG file of your layout for high quality printing at home or by a photofinisher.

I have an idea, this doesn't have to do with a scrapbook though. I did this for my boyfriend when I had to move out of state and he LOVES what I got him. I'm visiting him right now after 4 months since I moved and he's been wearing it. Anyways, it's a hand-designed T-shirt. Usually they cost around 20-30 dollars but are totally worth it. What happens is the designer spray paints a blank colored t-shirt (anything you want) then they heat press it so it will be permanent and won't fade off in the washer/dryer. What you should do is go to a T-shirt designer or T-shirt designing store and have someone design a shirt with your and her name in it along with other things like flowers or hearts or the letters "BFF". It will look amazing! I'm sure she would wear it! And everytime she wears it, she will see both of your names together :)

There are tons of websites that allow you to create books. The one that has the most selections and the most options, in my opinion is shutterfly.com. I do agree that flicker is kind of cool as is photobucket but both of them pale in comarison to shutterfly.com andit pales in comparison to Blurb.com. Blurb is really more for the advanced as it extremely difficult to manipulate all the apps and create a cool book. Shutterfly on the other hand has literally like 50+ different styles and themes to choose from. I originally started with shutterfly (I was with ofoto.com , which is now just kodak.com until i read somewhere that shutterfly offered 12x12 books. I love them, I love the larger size and when I am finished I can generate as many smaller versions of the same book as I want. Martha Stewart is part of Shutterfly so she has a group of books that have the style already laid out for you and all you do is add the picture and type in the text, choose your font, font size, color etc. Her themes are like "a tribute to mom" " a day in the life of " " a year in the life of" :family recipes: " the ABC 's of" she has special designed themes for weddings, holidays, memorial tributes, books made to honor someone, a short weekend trip, pet books, just about everything. Shutterfly has many other books, not all by Martha Stewart. You can choose general, or you can select a prethemed book. You can go with the pre selected layouts and pages or you can change the color to stripes, whimsical, elegant, there really is not limit on the variety of choices. A book for kids and school years, I just finished. If you are just getting startted I recommend picking one of the pre made books and just adding your pics, you dont even have to do that you can ask the site to auto load your pre selcted photos. The one thing you do have to do is get your photos uploaded to shutterfly.com. Regardless of the site you choose you will have to upload your photos to their site. Snapfish.com walgreens.com. cvs.com, photoworks.com all have scapbok options in a vareity of sizes.

***The best way to upload your pics to ANY site including shutterfly is to go www.picasapictures.com it is part of google/gmail put your memory card or a cd of pics in your computer and after you download picassa you just choose what you want to upload to oicasa. From there you can make a picasa photo book. the new 3.0 version has scrapbook you can make digitally but i have not tried it yet but i have downloaded some cool scapbook pages. The best feature is to select a group of pics and then slect "ORDER PRINTS" A PAGE WILL OPEN TO ABOUT 14 DIFFERENT PLACES, CHOOSE SHUTTERFLY (YOU WILL HAVE TO CREATE AN ACCOUNT, LIKE ANY PLACE THAT STORES PHOTOS) then after your photos finish uploading you do not have to really order prints you can order other photo gifts or jsut store for as long as you want. when shutterfly opens go to their store and look at photo books, one of the really cools apps is that they have 100's of books made by others you can view. they have a special "Best freinds" boo that sounds like what you want. Find a book you like and select "make a book jsut like this" and voila add your own photos to a book that someone else has already spent the time creating the cool layout.

also with picasa you can e-mail photos, make collages, edit photos from cropping to removing red eye, make black and white, make retro or vintage look the choices are endless. You can also just hit BLOG this and if you have a blog at blogger.com they automatically appear, really far too many apps to go into. shutterfly is the easiest, best quality and largest selection

A shutterfly book with 20 pages generally runs ar 49 bucks but I only make two a year now so I add the maximum number of pages up to 101 and my book is usually about 100 bucks.

My three new favorite photo book sites are

1. picaboo.com

2.inkubook.com

3.SMILEBOOKS.COM ********************** MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE ESPECIALLY FOR THE COLLAGE LOOK you upload your photos, you can make it yourself but is so easy jsut to have them randomly mix up your photos into cool collages. you must see this site it is super cool you will love it
