So I'm really interested in arts and crafts and decided to try my hand at making kawaii jewelry out of polymer clay. The only problem is that I'm not sure all the materials I'll need to make necklaces and bracelets. Other than the basic clay and acrylic paint, what will I need and where can I buy them? If someone could provide a full list of what's needed for polymer art, that would be awesome. Thanks!

You'll basically just need connectors of various kinds (depending on the kinds you want to use) and cording/stringing of some kind (again depending on what *you're* wanting to do). You'll also need some basic equipment, but mostly an oven and oven thermometer (essential).

Check out some of my previous answers here about making jewelry with polymer clay, using connectors, various kinds of cords/stringing, and simple tools and equipment to start with:

Polymer Clay beads are necessary to be gathered before you make jewelry. Then choose other materials such as fish cord, wire or assistant beads and bracelet cord or necklace chain. Tools such scissors, pliers etc. Get beads from http://www.nbeads.com/b-37-p1-polymer-clay-beads.html. Other materials and tools could be also found on nbeads.com. Good luck!

it really depends on ur design. eg, if u wanta make a Polymer Clay Rose Bracelet, then u may need Polymer Clay Flower

Silver Bead Cap

Jumpring

Lobster Claw Clasp

Flat Nose Pliers

Hot Melt Glue Gun

If u want to diy a fantastic spiral knot bracelet with polymer clay flower beads, then the materials are different, u need to prepare polymer clay beads, handmade porcelain beads, 1mm nylon thread, lighter

nd scissor. As to the question about where to get them, u can go to ur local crafts stores or some online crafts stores. Some online stores like pandahall.com also provide jewlery making tutorials that included the materials and steps for u to learn how to make ur neckalce and other jewlery arts. I think this kind of sites suit u the most.

If you're going to use chain then you will need the chain as well as jump rings, closures and some pliers to open the rings and closures with.

If you want to use wire you're going to need the wire, closures, rings and pliers.

If you want to use stretchy string (usually Stretch Magic is what you would find in craft stores) you will need the string and some glue to put on the knot so it won't come lose. Also you would need some thing to measure the string / wire with and some thing to cut the wire / string.

I think the easiest way to start would be to use the stretchy string.
