Ok so I am currently in a club where I am the one responsible for making the flyers and would like to know: What pictures can I use from the internet. Like what do I do when I want to make a flyer can I use any photo or do I have to make it from scratch? Can I use anything on Google?

Go to Google and search, "copyright free web art" or "copyright free photos." You'll find (mostly) images that artists and photographers have posted for use without copyright. If you are asked to make a flyer and you use something which is free, you are ok. In many cases, if it's copyright protected, you won't even be able to save it to your computer. In other cases, you have to read the Terms of Use on the individual sites. Some will say, "Not to be reproduced more than xxx times" or "Not for public use, etc." You MUST abide by those rules. Anything with a watermark (you'd see a name or logo on the picture) is copyrighted, and removing it (cropping it out) of the picture is illegal. It may be possible (if you have time) to gain the creator's permission to use for your project (which is awesome), but it would require an agreement in writing, and that's rare to get.

There are many sites that have royalty free images. Some images require payment, most don't. For really good quality images try http://www.freeimages.com/ Sign up for a free membership. The quality is excellent. Search by categories and look for the free ones.

There might be a button that says "search tools" on google images and you hit that, then a little bar should pop up with a thing that says "Usage Rights". Click that and it drops down a bar with options like "Free to use or share"
