The lowest rating I see on my coin book is VF, at $600. My guess is that it is between $475-$530. Take it to a coin shop. Sometimes, there are 50+ years experience in one shop's worth of dealers. I have 5 years. And I'm not knowledgeable on anything above the silver/gold dollar.

Just so we are clear, the Liberty Head Half Eagle is a $5 coin, and the Liberty Head Eagle is a $10 coin.

Coins are not called antiques, old yes antique no. Check the eagle side and see if there is a mint mark under the eagle. It would be a C or a D. If it does it is worth $1,400 and up, mostly up. If no mint mark then the last values I have are from $310 to $550 depending on grade. With the price of gold going up and down, that may change from day to day. The mint marked coins are scarce to rare. Call a dealer or better two for exact quotes.

somewhat frankly, eBay is a good venue in case you have already got an outstanding attractiveness as a coin broker on eBay. What i might advise is which you first verify with some sellers to confirm if your cash have genuine well worth (the remark made by capacity of yet another responder a pair of Roman coin isn't the case- maximum historic Roman money are fairly low-priced) as quickly as you verify which your cash do in actuality have a financial fee well worth bothering with you may desire to evaluate consigning them. many times a broker will settle for a consignment for a minimum term and sell the money for a proportion of the finished sale cost. (generally approximately 20%) i don't deal in "cutting-part" money (something after 1700 advert) yet once you touch me by my internet site i could be extra desirable than happy to attempt to help.
