How to make a stuffed toy for my nice?

The sister of my boyfriend is going to have a baby girl in February and I want to surprise them with a neat stuffed toy made by me. So far i couldn't find any models for plush or stuffed toys and I really want it to be special because they mean so much to me. Everyone can go to the toy shop and buy a toy but i want this fist toy of the little lady to be somehow memorable well in some way. I'm a crafty person and enjoy doing such stuff but i cannot think of a model. I'm thinking of a mouse, rabbit or a bear but making the model seems the hardest part to me. So anyone who can be helpful with models and ideas will be much appreciated!!! Please, share some stuff!!!!

I made a stuffed unicorn and had the outside in fake fur the pattern was for sewing. It is 18 inches long. I have the pattern some place so I could get you the name of the person who made it if your interested. In the meantime here are some places you can check out
