I would like to know if the circuit expression machine is worth the price and what is the difference between the circuit expression machine and the personal one? Also where is the best place I can purchase it and for what price? Does anyone have any reviews for either the circuit expression machine or the personal one?

Ok, so heads up...long description :D

I own the ORIGINAL CRICUT (which was the first one to be released). It was given to me when the coupons for discounts were allowed at Michaels. Was bought at a bit less than half. Not a bad deal. NO, Michaels WILL NOT let you use the coupons anymore on ANY CRICUT/CRICUT EXPRESSION OR ACCESSORIES. The Original Cricut is the same as the CE. Just doesnt have the capability of cutting things as big as 1/4"-23 1/2"!!! (pretty big right?) The Original cuts up to 5 1/2". Its also more portable, light weight. The CE isnt. Its more bigger, heavier & less portable.

Not much in difference. Just one has more of an ability to do cut outs bigger & a bit more strength that it can cut through vinyl (sold on cricut.com) They both use the same cartridges. Their compatible with either machine. If you want to buy either machine cheap...I recommend going to WalMart & buying it there. They have several accessories, & both machines for reasonable prices.

ORIGINAL CRICUT: Cuts up to 5 1/2 inches. Light weight. Portable. ($189.99-$299.99)

CRICUT EXPRESSION: Cuts up to 23 1/2 inches. Heavy. Huge. NOT portable.

($289.99-$599.99)

CRICUT CREATE: or "the personal one" is like both above machines combine together. For better functionality.

($399.99)<---Havent seen this one at Walmart yet

As I mentioned, I own the Original. I love it. Dont really need it to make anything BIG. Plus since I lack the space, it works & fits great. Its easy for me to carry it. If you are on a budget I recommend the basic one (original) does the same thing. Its still a great personal cutter. Think of your budget. They do require cartridges (ranges from $39.99-$89.99), the sticky mat to hold paper when its being cut ($7.99-$18.99). Tool Kit (includes the items to help lift the image from mat) (ranges from $12.99-$19.99)

I hope this helped :D

The Circut expression cuts a much larger surface. It can do a 12x12 page. The Original Circut is about 6x10

My sister just cut out a 11x11 snowflake with hers to fill a scrapbook page.. The Cricut Expression also does more. It can cut more materials that the original. Cricut has vinyl out just for the machine you can cut out phrases and put on your walls.

It takes some time to learn how to use one. You must be willing to put in some practice before you are using it. My sister took classes. She has both and recommends me getting the Expression when I do buy one.

Wal Mart had the best price on the machine and cartridges. Hobby Lobby had good prices too. You can find that Micheal's and JoAnn put the cartridges on sale.

With the new one out, I think they will be fading the orginal out.
