Hi,
I would like to know the best way of making fog or smoke without dry ice, a machine, fire, or anything like that. Halloween is coming up so gotta know soon! Thanks and happy Halloween!

If you're planning on using commercially available "fog juice" (which is a mineral oil), you need to heat it. I have seen some smoke/fog machine hacks online but they require some kind of jury-rigged heat source like an old iron. To be honest, you'd probably be better ahead to purchase an actual smoke/fog unit rather than messing with some chinky set-up that could result in personal injury (burns) or fire. Spirit Halloween is just gearing up for the holiday season and I've received a number of 20% OFF offers in the mail as well as email promotions. Clearly with fog machines, the more expensive they are, the more voluminous their output. But for $35 you should be able to get a decent one.

If you're looking for a battery-operated option, some smaller items do exist but they will not produce large amounts of fog.

Dry ice is by far the easiest - all you need is a container of warm water to drop the chunks of ice into and around here it is available at grocery stores.

Other methods of making smoke involve an electrical supply and an oil that makes smoke at low temperatures and in not toxic - model train steam engines used to use little plastic bottles of the stuff and theater/stage supply companies have it.

Get dry ice and put a small amount of water on it.

Edit: must have missed that. You're kinda outta luck then. Not that many other ways to make smoke or fog.
