i made one of these when i was little and would like to share with my kids but i dont remember how to make the paste or whatever it was. all i remember is you blew up a balloon and wrapped colored string around it that was either dipped in something or you spread some kinda paste on it. anyway after it dried you popped the balloon and still had the egg shape. kinda like paper mache but not using newspaper. is it still the same recipe?

You can either use a mixture of equal parts white glue and water, or wallpaper paste, or they have a fabric stiffing glue you can use. Put what adhesive your using in a deep bowl and place the string in it. Start pulling out the string and wrapping it around the balloon. Tie a piece of string on the end of the balloon and hang it to dry.

You remember the rest!!! :-)

A good idea could be to create a multi-colored balloon, with glue colored paper and Mosaic yarns. Purchase a balloon. A balloon is very slippery compared to most surfaces so add extra thin paper for a covering. Tape is preferred over glue because it can create a texture when applied in layers with out creating so much weight. Tape can also be convenient when applying multi-colored Mosaic yarns.

In Easter eggs are used I supose because they no longer in worry-free words beautify properties with their colorations yet to boot brings good luck. And it truly is exciting to play the game o hiding and searching the eggs.
