There are some very elegant Christmas cards you can make with card stock, ink, rubber stamps, and an adhesive.
For ideas you can go to the web site below and look in the gallery (top right of web page). If you go into the Stampin Up Gallery you can look up cards under set names - some nice cards have been made using Lovely as a Tree set and Snow Swirled.
You could go to a rubber stamp/scrapbooking store - this time of the year they would have the holiday stamps in stock and can help you with ideas.

I made mine by hand. Pretty cheap to make. Go to your local craft store (or you can use heavy card stock paper & fold it in half or fours) You have the option of doing by computer using regular printing paper (or card stock) opening up your Microsoft Word & you can type in Christmas Cards in search. It will provide you with different pre-made cards. Those clip arts in the icons can be changed if you want. You can search other clip arts on MW & adding the one you wish.
The other option is, go to your local craft store (even Walmart) & buy those blank cards ready to decorate. Their like $5 for a package of 12 I think. (Its been a while since I bought them) & get some Christmas looking paper (their 4x$1 at Michaels right now). Some double sided adhesive (tape, avoid glue since it tends to leave paper wet & raised). Get some $1 3D stickers (the store brand) they work very nicely. & you can just leave it at that. Just the rest would be your "thoughts" (Now, using the printer & your M.W you can print on the back of the cards "Hand Made by:" with a Christmas clip art, I suggest you practice this technique before using the main paper you will do this on)
Anything else, like brads, etc is extra & up to you. I have provided the link to how my Christmas cards came out. Took me just an hour to make them! Mainly with the ideas/supplies I mentioned above! :D

It's actually quite simple to make Christmas cards. It's quite easy with Anita's outline stickers - if you stick these onto card and cut them out they make very effective and cheap toppers. Then you can use foam pads to make them stand out.
You can make beautiful and cheap cards for not much at all.

Try this website http://www.madaboutcards.com/
They sell just about everything you could wish for and they also do a card projects page.
I've made some and it's not as hard as it looks.
Good luck

All you need is some semi-ready card templates plus Christmassy stickers to be added to those cards! It's not more difficult as that!
