Well I'm extremely bored and tired of doing the same things...sooo i need some new hobbies. What are your hobbies? WHat do you think I might like? I love artsy things (music, drawing, photography) and going for walks, and figure skating.

Take music lessons, some local marching bands or drum and bugle corps may be looking for members and provide free lessons.

Art galleries usually offer drawing and painting classes, and other studios offer courses such as stained glass, jewel art, beadwork, etc.

Your community college, alternative education centre or camera shops may offer courses in photography.

Guided nature walks could be offered at your local nature centre or conservation area. Or you can visit your tourism centre to get maps of nature trails. If you like walking dogs, your local SPCA could probably use volunteers.

Look in your yellow pages to see if there is a figure skating club in your area.

Your local tourism centre will have a list of events in your community and area, like arts and craft shows and other shows or exhibits. Also try volunteering: Check the yellow pages for your volunteer centre or non-profit agencies and ask about volunteer opportunities for teens. They will be glad you called and you may also find some new interests and meet interesting people. Also try Charity Village.

Good luck

Hey,

Yoga can be a great friend in every diet. It's all about hormones balance. There are no "bad" hormones. But when hormones get unbalanced, bad things happen in your body. Your body releases cortisol when you're under stress. It's part of the whole “fight or flight” response. Increased cortisol levels could be making you fat. The kind of fat you are most likely to store from elevated cortisol is called visceral fat — the dangerous belly fat that’s linked to diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol levels.

I'm following this great online program that teaches how to use YOGA to lose weight. You should check it out as well. This is the link of the site: http://yogafitness.toptips.org

There are a wide variety of hobbies-indoor and outdoors that can keep young girls occupied. Keeping her mental and physical balance is essential as she is still growing and needs help to mould her personality. Some young girls are already keeping secret diaries, learning the art of make-up, taking up Tennis, Badminton or Hockey to keep fit. Today's generation of teenagers are computer-savvy and also aware of keeping fit with balanced diet and exercises.

The girls are more mature and keen to prove their mental wellness. Simultaneously keep even inexpensive hobbies like stamp collection (yes, they are still a hot favourite, so what if snail mail has been replaced by email). Young girls love to cook; they can learn some simple dishes at home or join some classes.

Dancing, yoga, art classes, crafts, gymnastics are quite popular, as fees are also reasonable for parents to pay. Teen girls get an opportunity to make new friends and also hone their talents that could be of use in adult life. Few are reading novels but most of them are reading fiction and poetry and keeping scrap books as well. Photography is a proving to be a good hobby for young girls. Well, some girls like to be in front of the camera and some behind them! Rock climbing, cycling with friends, swimming are equally satisfying hobbies.

Most girls choose hobbies that will help to keep long hours with friends. Join a drama club or create one for a friend is an ideal way to spend summer holidays. If not an actress then getting into creative production and styling is a good option for teenage girls. Learning nail art designs has also become the most popular hobby these days. As girls learn and have fun at the same time, they develop better personalities. When they volunteer for shelter homes, baby sit and walk dogs they become more responsible.

Hope this info is enough

Have fun tryin these hobbies out

how about presamped, prequiled, cross stitch baby or lap quilts. This is what I do, & I love them.

However when you go to buy them get them off of ebay, its so much cheaper, then teh local craft stores, like Hobby Lobby, Micheals, or JoAnns fabric.

I pay between $9.99-15.00 for them verse $25-45.00 at the craft stores.

If you want to start with something smaller, try a baby bib. Also alot of the kits now come with the floss, if not the floss is pretty cheap at the craft stores, but heres a word of advice, DONT use the name brand floss by Janlynn, the floss when washed "will" bleed on your pattern once you have to wash it! Stay with the name brand floss called DMC, J&P coats, or Anchor, I know for a fact those brands wont bleed.

Also the name brands of the cross stitch kits are under these names "Bucilla", "Janlynn" (they do have good kits, just stay clear of the floss that comes with it), "Baby Hugs", "Dimensions", "Sunset", "Wondersrt".

Another place you can look up is called Craigslist.com, or www.powersellersunite.com

Hope this all helps you out. Good luck with what you chose & have fun, is the main thing.

I would try embroidery....it's kind of like drawing with thread. It's a cheap hobby to pick up as well and easy to learn on your own with no lessons. You will be able to pick up floss, needle, and hoop for less then a couple of dollars.

There are a lot of good websites out there....and if you want to see examples of embroidery that you maybe wouldn't expect to see....check out craftster.org. It's a great site, and will surely give your creative side lots of inspiration.

Good luck.
