I just want to rush in and out, so if I know what size Im getting I could do this quick... Please let me know what size binder should I get in order to fit about 200 pages (in sheet protectors)?????

You will need at a minimum a 2 1/2 to 3 inch binder. Depending on the weight of your drawing paper, you may need to go up to a 4 inch binder.

Here is my non-scientific explanation to how I came up to those measurements.

I have a binder with 80 pages of sheet protectors with two sheets of paper in each protector for a total of 160 pages. The pages fill a two inch binder--not too spacious and not too tight. One hundred pages with 50 protectors measured about 1-1/2 inches with a slight compression.

Sheet protectors come in various weights, mine are of the medium weight. The paper I used is your average weight copier paper.

Variables including the weight of your sheet protector, using one or two sheets of paper per protector, and quality (weight) of your drawing paper.

So, if you use a heavier drawing paper, with 2 pages per protector, you will need to look at a 3" binder. If you plan to use one sheet protector per page, that too will can increase the size of the binder up to 4 inches.

♥ Hello Mariluv! It's been awhile since I've heard from you! I hope all is well! Sounds like you got a nice project on your hands... if I were you I'd go with a 2 to 3 inch binder. 1 and 1.5 inch will both be too small for your project. With a 2 to 3 inch binder you can fit between 250-350 pages. If you want to give yourself room to grow then go with the 3 inch binder! Good Luck! :-)

I think if you get a 5" binder, this would be ideal since it fits about 900 pages and it would allow you to grow into it. If not get a 3" binder that fits about 300 pages (this one won't leave much room to grow into).

I think a cool idea would be if you decorated divider sheets and separated your recipes such as appetizers, entrees, quick meals, side dishes, deserts, drinks, and favorites! =)

A 1 inch binder will work. It will hold up to 220 pages. Go with a 1.5 inch binder if you think you'll significantly add to it (it will hold up to 350 pages). I've started a cookbook with recipes I've collected from allrecipes.com. It sounds like your book is going to be a lot nicer than mine . . . I admire your dedication.
