The less expensive option is the public library. Good and free. You can also try arts & crafts stores like Michael's or Joann's.

You could look in the yellow pages for a stain glass store. They always have good instructional books available for sale. Often times they also offer classes on how to do stain glass. I can give you a site I love for inexpensive craft books. Just look for 'stain glass books' in the search.
