I have a collection of first day covers from early 1980s purchased from Reader's Digest company, which has a sheet with information regarding subject of the first day cover/stamp. Also have a collection of first day covers sponsored by World Wildlife Fund.

I fear mangidabx may be right. I was once in a stamp shop and overheard the owner say to someone looking to sell his FDCs 'You've got hundreds? Well, I've got thousands.' I've also noticed stamp dealers sell stamps which have obviously been cut off of FDCs. If they have any sentimental meaning, keep them as they probably won't fetch much. If you are keen to get rid of them, try the suggestions above.

If you live in a city check the phone directory for

stamp stores. If there are no stamp dealers near

you eBay is probably the best choice. You won't

get much money for the covers you describe, they

are too common and were originally sold for a

very inflated price compared with the usual market

value. You may have trouble finding anyone who

wants them.
