I would like to find people who have this same machine in order to learn more of its capabilities. I am having trouble hooking up machine to pc. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also would like to ask more questions about what items can be personalized. This is my first embroider machine!! So I am a newbie!! Lastly where is a good website to download more characters to embroider. I am looking at mostly monogramming different things especially for kids!!

Thanks so much!!

This is one fantastic EM (embroidery machine)!.

For help and suggestions from users of this brand and model go to -

http://www.annthegran.com

The 700 II machine is sold there and several site participants use it.

The cable that came with the machine is referred to as direct connect or USB port B.

With the EM off, open My Computer. Hook the cable to the EM and the PC. A new drive will appear. This is where you will send designs you have downloaded or which you may have on a cd.

On your PC create a new file in Programs and name it Embroidery.

When you download from the Internet save the designs to this file.

When you want to send a design to the EM, open the Embroidery file and choose the design. Send to the drive specified for the direct connect cable.

Your EM uses .pes format.

The designs should be no larger that your largest hoop - 5x7.

Larger designs will not transfer to the machine.

Brother's website has many free downloads. http://www.brother-usa.com/homesewing/

This site is also very helpful - http://www.emblibrary.com/EL/elprojects/holder.aspx?page=techniques

Good luck with your new craft - machine embroidery is super!
