Cast on an even number of stitches

Row 1: *K1, P1, K1 into first stitch, P3 tog* rep from * to * to end

Row 2: K to end

Row 3: *P3 tog, K1, P1, K1 into next stitch* rep from * to * to end

Row 4: K to end



You end up with little raised bobbles on the right side of the work.

I've heard the blackberry stitch is also called the popcorn stitch. There's directions for the popcorn stitch at:
