Question:
Can I use iron on patches for my hat?

I have an Ivy Cap that is 100% cotton that I would like to put iron on patches and transfers on it, but it warns against ironing the hat. I wanted to know if there was a risk of damaging the hat or warping the bill or something else that I may have not considered. It seems like one of those warnings that is put on as more of a formality than anything else, kind of like when a wheelbarrow says "Not for highway use" on it. Thanks!

I think the warning is for you to not iron the hat so it won't lose its shape. If you are careful and use a small traveling iron and just press the patch on in areas of the cap that will not reshape the hat you should be fine. The hat is 100% cotton and can certainly handle the iron on patches.
