Depending on where this machine has been stored, how old it is (new or hand me down) it may need to be serviced by a Viking tech.
The Viking dealer probably has lessons.

First thing to do is get it out and make sure it runs -- go through the steps in the manual for cleaning and oiling (if oil is required for this machine), then, with the needle out and the pedal plugged in, see if it runs. The machine may have seized from the prolonged storage. If so, it's going to require service before you can begin to learn to sew. If it runs, run it pedal to the metal for at least 15 minutes. (Machines not in fairly consistent use should be run 15 minutes a month).
Your next step will be to find yourself some sewing lessons, preferably in person-- there is so much to learn at first that you can really reduce your frustration level with the guidance of a good teacher. https://answersrip.com/question/index?qid=20111222050941AAzzJfu

I'm not familiar with your specific machine but I can tell you it's not something that can be explained here. I would suggest going to a store that sells fabric and ask about beginner classes or a night school classs at your local high school. :0)
