Hi, I want to keep my left over movie ticket stubs and it seems like all of the ink comes off later on... is there any way i could preserve them without getting a spray?
would nailpolish clear topcoat work?
Thanks!

A spray would probably be best, and cheaper than nail polish. If you want to try nail polish, though, try it on just a corner of the ticket at first. Most nail polish has acetone in it, and acetone dissolves many things...including some inks. Others have mentioned laminating the tickets, and you can do that. I used to use Contact clear shelf lining (you can find it in the housewares department of some stores) to laminate things, but it's a pain to mess with.

You can also put your stubs in a scrapbook or journal, and write about the movie in that book, things like who you went with, what you did before and after, and your thoughts about the movie itself.

Wow, that's chic! Wouldn't you know it, but I'm doing the same thing;)

Clear should work, however, I'd recommend laminating the stubs. That's what I'm doing. I was planning to make them into a necklace, but now I think I might make a chain out of them and hang it down my wall. Cool, huh?

Have fun!

No, no, no! Get some clear, PVC-free plastic holders, called toploaders, that sportscard collectors use to protect their cards. They come in sizes to fit stubs up to full, unused tickets. Any store that sells hobby supplies should have them. Then, keep them away from sunlight, which will fade the ink.

because if you get it hot or wet the ink will come off
