Question:
How can I resize photos for scrapbooking?

I'm a new mom and have taken tons of photos of my little boy (what new mom doesn't?) :)

I would like to scrapbook them, but I would like to do a layout with several smaller photos on one page. The pictures I want to use are head shots, so they are too big to use as is from my 4x6 print.
So my question is: How can I make my digital photo smaller, and could I still order them as 4x6 prints, but just with a smaller image on the photo paper?

I had considered ordering wallet size prints, but most websites I've checked don't do wallet-size developing online, or else they require you to order multiple photos at a time in that size, and all of the same image.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Open up MS Paint & then click on File, Then Open, Then select your photo from the file or folder it is in. Once the picture has opened then click on image and then click stretch/skew and then make the vertical & horizontal numbers smaller, Example: 100%, change it to 75% And that will make your photo 25% smaller.

Or right click the photo & select open with Paint & go from there.

Do you have them on your computer? If so, download this program - HP Image Zone...You can do so much with it! You can resize photos, alter the coloring, and so much more! If the photos are not on your computer, then take the photos to a local Staple of Kinkos and use their services.

Hi MommyLee,

A site that I often give to people is picresize.com. It very quickly and easily lets you resize pictures online and then sends you a new JPEG file for printing/saving on your machine.... all without having to learn new software.

good luck!

I can scan a photo and have it print out smaller than the original. Or scan it into your computer and print it out any size you want. If you can not do this at home places like Kinko, office stores and even Wal Mart can help you do it there.

if you have them on your computer, you can resize them on photobucket.com or imageshack.us
