I just completed a puzzle and want to mount it in a frame..I have heard some people say elmers glue diluted alittle bit works to put the puzzle together..It seems like it would dry streaky and white and ruin the look of the puzzle though..has anyone tried this and had success with it? Thank You :)

I use contact paper on the back of my puzzles before I frame them. There is no mess from glue on the front and it will keep your puzzle in one piece making it super easy to mount. You can find contact paper at target or walmart and its pretty inexpensive.Good luck and hope this helps.

Actually, i have several puzzles hanging in my room right now that i made myself, kincaid puzzles. I went to meijers and got some puzzle glue and you just spread it with the brush that comes inside the container....all over your puzzle. it will look white when you spread it. dont panic.....it dries clear and works great. make sure that you cover it really good and that you have some type of backing under the puzzle that you intend to have stick to it because it will stick. I have ironed out paper bags and used that as my backing. the glue seeps through and around the puzzle pieces to the backing.

dont put it on a counter or table with nothing under it. that is a disaster and happened to me the first time i did one. oh my.

absolutely do not use elmers glue or anything else. puzzle glue is not expensive and really does the job for you and lasts too.

Hope this helps you out and i am sure you will enjoy your puzzle pictures for many years as i have.

Flip the puzzle over and use a brush to apply the glue to the back of the puzzle. You can get thin enough and it won't be visible. Or you can just purchase puzzle glue. Go to Wal-Mart in the toy section near the puzzles. But, honestly, it looks just like Elmer's glue to me.

The back of your puzzle will face the wall. What's it matter what it looks like, glue that side and you're set.
