Something that is easy/intermediate and isn't full of hats, sweaters, toys and blankets but actual outfits for baby GIRLS

There are precious few of those available. I'm not even sure what an "outfit" is if it doesn't include a sweater and a hat.

You might want to look online, where the selection of patterns is wider than you'll find in any book or series of books. Yarn manufacturers have tons of free patterns for you to choose from, including these:

DROPS/Garn Studio: http://www.garnstudio.com/lang/us/search.php Out of the 232 patterns at this site for babies, most are either unisex or can be made "girly" by changing the color and the buttonhole placement.

Patons Yarns has 2 cute intermediate knit dresses in 6-months size: http://www.patonsyarns.com/search.php?pst=k&pspt=d&psub=b&advps=y

Bernat has a few that start at 3/6 months size: http://www.bernat.com/search.php?pst=k&pspt=d&psub=b&advps=y

You might find something that grabs you at the Berroco site . . . : http://www.berroco.com/item_fr/fr_children.html

. . . or at Knitty: http://www.knitty.com/archiveKIDSWEAR.php

Or maybe vintage patterns are more your cup of cider: http://www.freevintageknitting.com/baby.html

(remember that vintage patterns use different sizing from modern patterns)

google will turn up lots of patterns

www.knittingpatterncentral.com

www.lionbrand.com

You may find more of a selection in the public library in the crochet section.
