I want to make one of those button pins which are approximately 2 to 3 inches across...the kind which has a design with a clear plastic over it? I just need a single one so I don't see a need to purchase a whole kit and I don't know anyone who owns one. Do you have any suggestions?

This is where I order my custom made pin buttons:

http://myworld.ebay.com/mtrade91/

They make great quality pin buttons/badges key chains for a low price.

They ship fast too.

You can order one or more from them.

For one button I remember its $3.50 including shipping in the United States.

Maybe you could get it laminated. Then cut it out and glue it to a big button, or poker chip or piece of wood, and glue that onto a pin back (pretty cheap at the craft store)
