I am knitting a baby blanket and need help with this pattern.

I cast on 167 sts (no problem)

Row 1-9: K1(P1,K1) across
Row 10: knit across
Row 11: Purl across
Row 12 and 13 same as 10 and 11
Row 14: P4, WYF slip 3, (P3, WYF slip 3) across to last 4 sts, P4
Row 15: K4, WYB slip 3, (K3, WYB slip 3) across to last 4 sts, K4.
Row 16: K across
Row 17: P across
Row 18: K5, *insert right needle under loose strands and knit together with next st, K5; repeat from * across.

How do I do row 18? I have no problem with any of the other rows until I get here and have no idea what to do. can someone please help.

The WYF and WYB form loops so pick them up on the right needle and knit through them all with one stitch. Looks like this is the pattern of a bobble or something.

Looks like you are knitting the Butterfly stitch. You will be making a knit stitch right in the middle of the wide loose stitches you created on rows 14 & 15.

Basically this stitch will be tying the other stitches together. If you look at the picture on your pattern you will see what I am trying to describe - it's like the knot in the middle.

where it says *insert right needle under loose strands and knit together with next st, put your needle under all the loose strands and knit the next stitch - you will then see all the loose strands sitting in front of the st that is on your right needle - use your left needle to put these over the right needle out of the way. You have now worked a butterfly st..

Hope I explained this ok
