Anyone have ideas for Girl Scout Swaps with a hippie theme?

Our Camporee this year is "Feelin' Groovy" - hippie-themed. The only idea I can come up with would be something involving flowers. I don't want to do tie-dye (too involved and messy). Does anyone have any good ideas for GS swaps?

My girls are 2nd grade Brownies and frankly they are not crafty types - we're more of a "get outside and get active" troop. So it needs to be fairly simple - no glue guns. Thanks!

This site has a bunch of different crafts and even swaps too. There are also kits for sale.

What do you have on hand? That really determines what is cheap for you. I would do a search on "Girl Scout" swaps and, say, yarn and see what pops up. Another thing to do is to borrow a book or swaps hat for display, spread out all your extra craft materials, and go for it! An ideal swap would say something about yourself, so pick something that has a meaning to you. A specific idea: One girl got a bunch of woodsie stars, painted them all kinds of ways, and glued them on pinbacks. People really loved them.

I think that allowing the 2nd graders to dorn one of their mom's dresses that would at least reach below their knees and have them wear sandals. A nice approach to the "hippie fashion" also is a headband . It would also be nice to have them pick flowers from outside to adorn their hair. What do you think? Of course, you would definitely need to capture all of this with photos for memory sakes! Have fun with this! This is the dawning of the age of aquarius!

You might want to check out oriental trading. They have a lot of great craft kits.

This is kinda groovy.
