I am making a few posters about 50 and i used paper that was matt 80 g/m and it was not very good. Does anyone have any ideas about what paper to use

I suggest you go for gloss photo paper (for high quality result) That thickness is just right to me but maybe you chose the wrong texture.
You may want to consider decorative / gloss paper with GSM 120 or with 60 pound to 115 pound weights.

Hi, it sounds like you want some heavy 8.5 x11 paper (for small posters) that you can actually put in a printer. I always use card stock. You can purchase it in any large office supply store and it's 110 lb. paper.
