Hi everyone,
I am going to Melbourne to visit my grandparents like I do every year. I always go for a week so I was thinking of making an anti-boredom kit. My little second-cousins live there as well. They have only recently lived there. The last time I went there, they drove me up the wall!!

I really want an anti-boredom kit to help me stress-less and have something to do for 7 days. :D
A couple of things I've already thought of:
Knitting gear, iPod, Gameboy (haha so old), pens, paper, journal, book to read, science and math text books (I have to do some studying ><), movies (for a movie marathon), oragami books.
I need some more things please!

Thank you!!

OK well, this is very typical list for a young American.

Trust a 31 yr old American who's been through boredom and crafts and who knows what else-

I've hardly ever used what I've packed except was I was nine and there were no other kids.

But, I've given a lot.

I've helped sweep up, I've read whatever books I found, I've played made-up games with the children.

I've baked cookies, and walked dogs, and watched the stars at night with my step-grandparents in Upstate NY when I ws from teh city and we couldn't see crap.

I've taken hikes in the woods,

and made my own Halloween costume while visiting, though my folks wouldn't take me out in a colored set of paperbags.

So, most things I've packed have remained in the bags, and I've always foundplenty to give to others, and plenty of the new place to enjoy.

Good luck!

With every day pass, our country is getting into more and more trouble. The inflation, unemployment and falling value of dollar are the main concern for our Government but authorities are just sleeping, they don’t want to face the fact. Media is also involve in it, they are force to stop showing the real economic situation to the people. I start getting more concern about my future as well as my family after watching the response of our Government for the people that affected by hurricane Katrina.

According to recent studies made by World Bank, the coming crisis will be far worse than initially predicted. So if you're already preparing for the crisis (or haven't started yet) make sure you watch this video at http://www.familysurvival.tv and discover the 4 BIG issues you'll have to deal with when the crisis hits, and how to solve them fast (before the disaster strikes your town!) without spending $1,000s on overrated items and useless survival books.

The choices you have are great! But I tried to do the same thing once cause we were gone for a while and all those lasted about 2-3 days.......maybe try bringing a camera to take pics if ur a nature person(if you have one) or some drawing books to draw or maybe some paint (if ur an art person) Imaybe try going outside (you know jogs, looking for fossils ,getting to know neighbors) maybe to make time pass by try teaching your little cousins something.I hope this helps.

Glow sticks. Everyone loves glow sticks. Put a book in there. I've always got a book in my bag. Or find one of those handheld single game things. They're like $10. Or splurge and get a DS...

Bring a journal and ask your grandparents to tell you a little about their past. You might be surprised with the interesting stuff they can tell you.
