Does neon face paint (from a craft store) work on black light?

Question

I was wondering if just a regular set of neon face paint would work on a black light... I would of just got ultraviolet paint from an online store but I need the paint by Friday night. So does anyone what I could use... 
I saw there was a neon face paint set from michaels, does anyone known if thatll work? Thanks

These are two different things. The paint that is visible in black light contains ingredients that react with ultraviolet light, while regular paint (neon or otherwise) do not.



Neon paint contains very bright and intense colours, so they appear as if they glow by themselves. But in the dark, without any light, they have no colour. Ultraviolet light (black light) will not have much effect on them since they do not have the right ingredients to "glow" under that light. Ultraviolet light is above the spectrum of visible light that our eyes can process. When objects appear to glow under the light, they contain substances that are emitting light in response to radiation (the UVA). These "phosphors" are what make normal things like teeth and white t-shirts glow in the dark! You can make any paint into black light paint by adding the correct phosphors to them. Without them, you get no glowing at all.

Yes, neon paint will glow under blacklight. It will not glow in the dark by itself but will with the blacklight. The heavier you apply it to your face, the better it will look.

I guess it depends what you like......here are a few suggestions. ~ Pick a favorite movie and base everything off of it.For example The Sisterhood of the traveling pants. You could have a slumber party and watch the movie. Then have your best friends decorate jeans. ~ You could take your friends shopping at the mall.Have them each bring x amount of money and have a shopping spree. Celebrate with pretzels or ice cream from the food court. ~ Have a classic slumber party. Have pizza,watch hours of movies, and sleep in as late as you want. ~Go out to eat at a favorite restaurant. ~Have a boy-girl party.Have dancing and great music and food. Neon paint does not glow in the dark.

Craft stores do sell glow in the dark acrylic paint. Most of this is light activated. It must be in light to "charge" the paint to glow in the dark.
